Advantium Speedcook, the signature GE tech
Advantium is GE's hybrid heating technology, two halogen bulbs (one above, one below the cavity) deliver high-intensity radiant heat while microwave energy penetrates simultaneously. Net effect: food cooks 5x faster than a conventional oven while retaining surface browning that pure microwave can't deliver. Advantium is the reason people pay Profile or Monogram pricing for a microwave, it replaces a second oven for much of the everyday cooking duty.
Service-side, Advantium adds failure modes a standard microwave doesn't have: halogen bulbs (1-3 year consumable), halogen driver board, hybrid-mode thermostats, and the interplay between magnetron-side and halogen-side diagnostics when symptoms overlap. SmartHQ app pairing won't connect my GE microwave, what to check?
