Blaze service

The Blaze warranty changes the repair math, and we know how to work it.

When a Blaze grill fails at an LA home, the first thing our techs at Same Day Appliance Repair check is whether the failed part is lifetime-covered. Blaze warranties the burners, cooking grates, body, flame tamers, heat zone separators, warming rack, and control valves for the life of the original owner. On those failures the part is free, and you pay only our labor plus the $89 outdoor diagnostic. Ignition and lighting are covered one year, then standard paid parts. Grill or BLZ-SSRF outdoor fridge, we service both. $89 outdoor diagnostic, waived with repair. BHGS #A49573, EPA 608 Universal certified (#1346255700410), BBB Accredited.

Blaze Outdoor Products built its reputation on giving near-premium hardware, commercial-style 14,000 BTU cast burners and heavy 304 stainless, at a price well under Lynx or Twin Eagles, and then backing the major components with a lifetime warranty. For an owner, that warranty is the whole story: a Blaze is one of the cheapest premium-grade grills to keep running for the long haul, because the expensive parts are covered and the recurring cost is mostly labor.

Our techs service the full Blaze grill lineup: the value-built Prelude LBM (BLZ-3LBM and BLZ-4LBM), the Premium LTE and LTE+ with lit control knobs, the LTE Pro, the flagship Professional LUX, and the Marine grade. On the cold side we handle the BLZ-SSRF outdoor refrigeration line, from the 20-inch 4.3 and 4.5 cubic foot units to the 24-inch 5.5 cubic foot fridge and the SSRF-50DH drawer. One brand, one visit, grill and cold storage both.

BHGS #A49573. Same-day across LA, Orange County, Ventura. We handle the Blaze warranty claim so you do not have to.

Lineup and architecture

The Blaze lineup and what fails on each.

Blaze grills share one engineering platform across price points: commercial-style 14,000 BTU cast burners, a Push-and-Turn flame-thrower ignition, and crossover channels that let the whole grill light from a single burner. That shared design means the repair patterns carry from the Prelude up to the LUX.

Prelude LBM (value built-in, BLZ-3LBM / BLZ-4LBM)

The entry built-in, 25-inch 3-burner and 32-inch 4-burner. Same 14,000 BTU cast burners as the pricier lines, simpler trim. Most common Prelude work is ignition (electrode or battery on the lead burner) and crossover-channel cleaning. Because the burners and valves are lifetime-covered, most Prelude repairs after year one are labor-only.

Premium LTE and LTE+ (mid line, lit knobs)

The Premium LTE adds illuminated control knobs and heavier build. The lit-knob LEDs are a common minor complaint (they are on the ignition-and-lighting side, one-year warranty), while the burners, grates, and valves underneath carry the lifetime coverage. We diagnose the LED and control circuit separately from the gas system.

LTE Pro and Professional LUX (flagship)

The Professional LUX is the top of the Blaze line, thicker stainless, higher-output burners, and the same crossover ignition. The LUX runs hard at estate installs and shows more flame-tamer and heat-zone-separator wear from heavy use, both lifetime-covered parts. We replace them under warranty and bill only labor.

Ignition system (Push-and-Turn flame-thrower, crossover channels)

Blaze lights with a push-and-turn flame-thrower on the lead burner, and crossover channels carry the flame to the rest. A grill that will not light is usually the lead-burner electrode, its battery, or a crossover channel clogged with grease or corrosion that stops the flame from carrying. These are inexpensive, one-year-warranty parts. We test electrode, crossover, and gas flow in order rather than guessing.

Blaze outdoor refrigeration (BLZ-SSRF line)

Blaze outdoor refrigerator repair is a steady part of our Blaze work. The BLZ-SSRF line runs from the 20-inch 4.3 and 4.5 cubic foot units to the 24-inch 5.5 cubic foot fridge and the SSRF-50DH drawer, all 304 stainless with a one-year sealed-system warranty. The single most common Blaze fridge symptom, a warm-running box, is usually a door out of alignment or a failed gasket, not a dead compressor. We check the door, hinge, and seal first, then the condenser coil, then the sealed system. Honest diagnosis before any expensive assumption.

Common scenarios

Top Blaze repairs in our 5-county territory.

Ranked by how often our techs at Same Day Appliance Repair see them across LA homes and the coast, most common first.

  1. Won't light (flame-thrower ignition). Lead-burner electrode or battery, or a clogged crossover channel. Test in sequence, replace the electrode or clean the crossover. One-year part, inexpensive.
  2. Blaze fridge running warm. Door alignment and gasket first on the BLZ-SSRF, then condenser coil, then sealed system. Most are a door fix, not a compressor.
  3. Control valve failure (lifetime-covered). Knob won't hold flame or won't turn. We claim the free warranty valve and bill only labor.
  4. Flame tamer / heat zone separator wear (lifetime-covered). Burned-through tamers on high-use LUX and LTE grills. Warranty part, labor-only.
  5. Burner replacement (lifetime-covered). Coastal corrosion or a cracked cast burner. Free warranty burner, our labor to install.
  6. Lit-knob LED failure (Premium LTE). Illuminated control knob out. Diagnose the LED and control circuit separately from the gas side.
  7. Crossover channel corrosion. Flame won't carry between burners on coastal installs. Clean or replace the crossover.
  8. Fridge door gasket and hinge. Warm BLZ-SSRF from a failed seal. Gasket and hinge alignment.
  9. Cook grate service. Cast grates on coastal grills. Lifetime-covered, labor to swap.
  10. Fridge thermostat / fan. Temperature drift on the SSRF line after the condenser is ruled out.

Real repairs

Composite stories from the route.

Five Blaze jobs typical of the past 90 days. Models, symptoms, diagnosis, time, total. Names omitted; the scenarios are what we see weekly.

Irvine, Blaze Professional LUX (2019 install)

Two control knobs would not hold a flame. Diagnosis: two failed control valves, both lifetime-covered. We documented the failure, claimed the free warranty valves, and installed them. Owner paid only labor plus diagnostic. Total: $89 plus 1.25 hours labor, parts $0 under warranty.

Malibu, Blaze Prelude LBM BLZ-4LBM (2021 install)

Grill would not light at all. Coastal install, 4 years of salt air. Diagnosis: corroded lead-burner electrode plus a crossover channel clogged with grease so the flame never carried. Replaced the electrode, cleaned the crossovers, tested full light-off. Total: $89 plus $60 part plus 45 minutes = $224.

Newport Beach, Blaze BLZ-SSRF 5.5 fridge (2020 install)

"Fridge is warm, compressor sounds fine." Diagnosis: door sagging on a worn hinge, gasket no longer sealing, cold air spilling out. Realigned the door, replaced the gasket, verified pull-down to temperature. No sealed-system work needed. Total: $89 plus $95 part plus 1 hour = $274.

Beverly Hills, Blaze Premium LTE (2018 install)

Burned-through flame tamers and one cracked cast burner at heavy use. Both lifetime-covered. Claimed the warranty tamers and burner, installed them, and re-seasoned the grill. Owner paid labor only. Total: $89 plus 1.5 hours labor, parts $0 under warranty.

Pacific Palisades, Blaze Prelude LBM (2017 install)

Multiple coastal issues at 8 years: two corroded burners, worn cook grates, dead ignition on one zone. Burners and grates were warranty parts; only the ignition electrode was a paid part. Did all of it in one visit. Total: $89 plus $55 electrode plus 2 hours labor, the rest $0 under warranty.

Scope

What we do for Blaze, and what we don't.

We service:

  • All Blaze built-in gas grills (Prelude LBM, Premium LTE and LTE+, LTE Pro, Professional LUX, Marine)
  • Push-and-Turn flame-thrower ignition and crossover-channel systems
  • Lifetime-covered components: burners, cooking grates, body, flame tamers, heat zone separators, warming rack, control valves (warranty claim handled by us)
  • Blaze outdoor refrigeration (BLZ-SSRF 4.3, 4.5, 5.5 cubic foot, and SSRF-50DH drawer)
  • Fridge door gasket, hinge alignment, condenser, and thermostat service
  • Cook grates, flame tamers, and burner replacement under warranty

We don't do: new Blaze grill or refrigerator installation (fabrication and gas-line trade, not appliance repair); custom island or cabinetry modification; sealed-system refrigerant recharge on outdoor fridges that ship without a service port (against replacement cost it rarely makes sense, and we will tell you so).

Because so many Blaze components are lifetime-covered, our first step on most Blaze repairs is confirming whether the part is a free warranty claim. If it is, you pay only our labor and the diagnostic. That is the honest advantage of owning a Blaze, and working it correctly is part of our service.

Pricing

Blaze repair costs.

Diagnostic is $89, applied toward repair, waived with repair. Lifetime-covered Blaze parts are free from the manufacturer, so on those repairs you pay labor only. Ranges below include labor; a "$0 part" note means the component is typically warranty-covered.

Why us for Blaze

What separates our Blaze service from general grill repair.

  • We work the lifetime warranty for you. Burners, grates, body, flame tamers, heat zone separators, warming rack, and valves are free warranty parts. We identify, document, and claim them so you pay labor only.
  • Flame-thrower ignition fluency. A Blaze that won't light is usually the lead-burner electrode or a clogged crossover, not a dead grill. We test in sequence, not by guessing.
  • Grill and fridge on one visit. The Blaze grill and the BLZ-SSRF outdoor refrigerator diagnosed together, one dispatch.
  • Door-first fridge diagnosis. A warm BLZ-SSRF is usually a door or gasket, not a compressor. We check the cheap cause before the expensive one.
  • Coastal-salt corrosion patterns. Malibu, Newport Beach, Pacific Palisades. On a coastal Blaze the corroded burners are warranty parts, so your cost is mostly our labor.
  • BHGS #A49573 plus EPA 608 Universal. The federal refrigerant certification (#1346255700410) covers the outdoor refrigeration side, not just the grill.
  • Same-day across LA, Orange County, Ventura. Next-day for Rancho Cucamonga and Temecula.

FAQ

Blaze grill and refrigerator repair questions.

Blaze has a lifetime warranty. Does that make repairs cheaper?

Often yes, and this is the single most useful thing to know about owning a Blaze. Blaze covers the burners, cooking grates, grill body, flame tamers, heat zone separators, warming rack, and control valves for the lifetime of the original owner. The part is free. What that means in practice: when your Blaze burner or control valve fails, our techs at Same Day Appliance Repair help you claim the free warranty part, and you pay only our labor plus the $89 outdoor diagnostic. Ignition and lighting components carry a shorter one-year warranty, so those become standard paid parts after year one.

Do you fix Blaze outdoor refrigerators too?

Yes. Blaze outdoor refrigerator repair is one of our common Blaze calls. We service the BLZ-SSRF line, from the 20-inch 4.3 and 4.5 cubic foot units to the 24-inch 5.5 cubic foot fridge and the 5.2 cubic foot double-drawer (BLZ-SSRF-50DH), all 304 stainless. The most common Blaze fridge jobs are door hinge alignment and gasket replacement (a warm-running fridge is very often a failed door seal, not a dead compressor), condenser coil cleaning, and thermostat faults. The refrigerator carries a one-year sealed-system warranty. EPA 608 Universal certified (#1346255700410).

My Blaze won't light with the push-and-turn ignition. What's wrong?

Blaze uses a Push and Turn flame-thrower ignition with crossover channels between the burners, so the whole grill lights from one burner's flame. When it stops working, the failure is usually the ignition electrode or the battery on that lead burner, or a clogged crossover channel that stops the flame from carrying to the next burner. Our techs test the electrode, the crossover, and the gas flow in sequence. Ignition parts are covered one year, then paid, and they are inexpensive.

What Blaze grill models do you service?

The full lineup. Prelude LBM (the value built-in, BLZ-3LBM and BLZ-4LBM in 25 and 32 inch), Premium LTE and LTE+ (the lit-knob mid line), the LTE Pro, the Professional LUX (the flagship), and the Marine grade. All of them use the 14,000 BTU commercial-style cast burners and the same crossover ignition, so the repair patterns carry across the line.

How long do Blaze grills last in Los Angeles?

The lifetime warranty on the major components tilts the math heavily toward keeping and repairing a Blaze rather than replacing it, often 15 years and well beyond on the cast burners and body. Salt air is still the limiter here. On coastal installs in Malibu, Newport Beach, and Pacific Palisades, ignition electrodes and hardware corrode faster, but since the burners and valves are warranty-covered for life, the ongoing cost of a coastal Blaze is mostly our labor, not parts.

My Blaze is built into an island. Does that change the repair?

Access changes, the diagnosis does not. Our techs service the built-in Prelude LBM, Premium LTE, and Professional LUX from the front of a Beverly Hills or Bel Air BBQ island, swapping burners, flame tamers, and control valves without pulling the grill out of the surround. On LP setups we confirm the regulator and gas line before re-firing. $89 outdoor diagnostic, waived with repair.

Can you get the free warranty part for me, or do I have to?

We help. On a lifetime-covered Blaze component, we identify the exact part, document the failure, and coordinate the warranty replacement so you are not chasing it yourself. Blaze provides the part at no cost to the original owner; you cover shipping and our labor. It is a genuinely owner-friendly warranty, and knowing how to work it is part of what we bring to a Blaze repair.

What's your warranty on Blaze repairs?

Ninety days SDAR parts-and-labor warranty on the work we perform, on top of whatever Blaze factory warranty covers the component itself. BHGS #A49573, EPA 608 Universal certified, and BBB Accredited Business.
