Two adjacent failure modes we sometimes see paired with the sensor: the BioFresh drawer seal compressed flat (older units that get heavily loaded) and the small fan that circulates humidified air through the drawer (year 7+ failure). Competitors often diagnose this as a generic 'cooling problem' and quote a full evaporator system — we narrow to the actual root cause.

Honest answer: Liebherr is built to last 20-plus years if you maintain it. The cabinet quality, the door hinges, the shelf hardware, the panel-ready integration — these are engineered with the assumption that the unit outlives the kitchen renovation cycle. The Liebherr corporate family (Liebherr Group, the parent company, headquartered in Bulle, Switzerland and Ochsenhausen, Germany) makes industrial equipment too — construction cranes, mining trucks, aerospace components, refrigerated cargo containers — but the residential appliance subsidiary Liebherr-Hausgeräte focuses on cooling. Service companies that list Liebherr washer or oven repair are either misinformed or have confused Liebherr with another European brand (Miele and Gaggenau both make broader residential lineups).
