Kratos Commercial Oven Repair

Kratos is the house brand of Restaurant Depot, the wholesale commercial foodservice supply chain operated by Jetro/Restaurant Depot out of College Point, New York (Strategic Equipment is the parent entity). Kratos equipment is manufactured overseas, primarily in China, under contract OEM arrangements, rebranded, and distributed exclusively through Restaurant Depot locations and the wholesale channel. Kratos is NOT a standalone manufacturer with independent engineering staff or parts network; it's a distribution-led brand built to hit the lowest accessible price point in the wholesale channel. Restaurant Depot's LA customer base is heavily immigrant-owned small restaurants, family-run specialty operations, food trucks that source wholesale through Restaurant Depot membership, value-tier delis, and independent operators on tight build-out budgets. Geographic concentration: East LA, San Gabriel Valley, South LA, Huntington Park, Bell, Cudahy, Commerce, and other LA neighborhoods where immigrant-owned small restaurant density is highest. Restaurant Depot membership is a significant customer filter, Kratos equipment reaches operators who shop wholesale at Restaurant Depot, not the premium-brand commercial kitchen-build-out segment.

Realistic expectation: 5–8 years of serviceable life under normal commercial use, matching the MainStreet / WebstaurantStore house-brand tier. Some operations run Kratos equipment longer with careful maintenance; high-volume operations often see shorter lives. Compare to 15–20 years for Vulcan or Blodgett premium convection. The Kratos price point (new convection ovens typically $800–$1,500 depending on configuration and Restaurant Depot promotion pricing) reflects the shorter-service-life trade-off. For operators who understand the tier economics, it's sensible; for operators expecting premium-brand longevity, the tier mismatch creates frustration.

Honest answer: 5–10 business days typical for service parts, sometimes longer. Parts route through Restaurant Depot customer service, which routes back to the Chinese OEM for most service components. That's structurally slower than any premium-brand parts network (Middleby, Ali Group, ITW all deliver 2–5 days typical).
