The ten things that break on a Bosch refrigerator
1. Refrigerator not cooling, compressor start relay (#1 call)
The single most common Bosch refrigerator call. Start relay tells the compressor to start; when relay fails, compressor never runs, temperature rises. Classic airflow-imbalance symptom. Evaporator fan (behind freezer back panel) circulates cold air between freezer and refrigerator compartments. When fan fails or ices over, freezer stays cold (where the evaporator coil is) but refrigerator warms (no air circulation to it). Diagnostic: listen, fan should be audible when freezer is running. 5. Water pooling at bottom of refrigerator, defrost drain clog
Defrost drain tube routes melt-water from the evaporator coil area down to the drain pan under the compressor. When the tube clogs (usually with food particles or ice), water backs up and pools in the refrigerator.
