Labor and ancillary parts (capacitors, relays, control boards that might need replacement as part of a compressor service) are typically the owner's responsibility after the 1-year parts-and-labor baseline warranty expires. For the class-action settlement period (2014–2017 manufacturing), affected units received an additional 5-year extended warranty from purchase date on top of the 10-year Linear Compressor coverage.
