BBB Accredited A+ — The One Credential You Can Verify in Real Time
Our BBB profile is live and public. Complaint history, rating, accreditation status — all visible at bbb.org right now, not just on our website. That's what makes it different from every other credential we carry.
01 — What Makes BBB Different
Every other credential has to be taken on faith. BBB is public record.
Our BHGS registration can be verified at bhgs.dca.ca.gov. Our EPA-608 certification is a tested credential. Our insurance can be confirmed with a Certificate of Insurance. But none of those show you our complaint history. BBB does.
The BBB profile for Same Day Appliance Repair is publicly visible at bbb.org right now. If a customer filed a complaint — how it was handled, whether it was resolved, whether we responded at all — that's there. The A+ rating reflects that history: no unresolved complaints, responsive to any issues that came up, no government actions against the business.
That's the thing about BBB accreditation that makes it worth more than a badge on a website. It's not self-reported. It's not a one-time check. The profile is live, it updates as our business history updates, and anyone can see it before they book.
02 — What BBB Accreditation Actually Involves
It's not automatic — businesses apply and are reviewed
Application and Review
BBB Accreditation requires a business to apply, pay an annual accreditation fee, and be reviewed based on their business history. Not every applicant is accepted. Businesses with significant unresolved complaints or government actions won't qualify.
Public Complaint History
Every complaint filed against an accredited business, and how it was handled, is visible on the BBB profile. This is permanent — complaints don't disappear. The record shows whether issues were resolved and whether the business responded at all.
Ongoing Monitoring
Accreditation isn't a one-time review. BBB monitors businesses continuously and can revoke accreditation if a company develops a pattern of unresolved complaints or violates the Standards for Trust. The rating updates based on ongoing behavior.
Customer Reviews
Customer reviews on BBB are verified — BBB confirms the reviewer had a business transaction with the company. Reviews from customers who have no verifiable interaction aren't published. The review total and score are separate from the complaint record.
Complaint Response Requirement
When a customer files a BBB complaint, the business has 14 days to respond. Failure to respond damages the rating. BBB tracks response rates and resolution rates as part of the overall rating calculation — so ignoring complaints is not an option.
Government Action Check
BBB reviews for any government or regulatory actions against the business. Government fines, license revocations, or legal judgments related to business practices affect accreditation eligibility and the rating calculation.
03 — The BBB Standards for Trust
What accredited businesses commit to
BBB Accreditation requires agreement to eight Standards for Trust. These are the specific commitments our accreditation reflects.
Build Trust
Establish and maintain a positive track record in the marketplace through honest business practices and a history of keeping commitments.
Advertise Honestly
Adhere to established standards of advertising and selling. No misleading claims, hidden terms, or deceptive pricing in any marketing or communications.
Tell the Truth
Honestly represent products and services, including clear disclosure of all material facts that could affect a consumer's decision to buy.
Be Transparent
Openly identify the nature, location, and ownership of the business, and clearly disclose all policies and procedures relevant to the consumer relationship.
Honor Promises
Abide by all written agreements and verbal representations. If a technician quotes a price over the phone, that's what appears on the invoice.
Be Responsive
Address marketplace disputes quickly, professionally, and in good faith. Respond to BBB complaints within the required timeframe with substantive answers.
Safeguard Privacy
Protect any information collected from customers and only use it in ways they would reasonably expect. No selling or sharing personal data with third parties.
Embody Integrity
Approach all business dealings with integrity and good faith. The standard that underpins all others — consistent honesty in every customer interaction.

05 — Frequently Asked Questions
BBB Accreditation — what homeowners ask
What does BBB accreditation mean for a home service company?
It means the business applied, was reviewed, and agreed to uphold BBB Standards for Trust — including honest advertising, transparent practices, and responsive complaint handling. Most importantly, the complaint history is publicly visible on the profile: anyone can see whether complaints were filed and how they were handled.
What does an A+ BBB rating mean?
A+ is the highest BBB rating. It reflects a clean complaint record, responsive handling of any issues, no outstanding unresolved disputes, and no government actions against the business. The rating updates continuously based on business behavior.
How can I verify the BBB accreditation and rating?
Directly at bbb.org — search "Same Day Appliance Repair Los Angeles" or use the link on this page. The profile shows accreditation status, rating, years in business, any complaint history, and customer reviews. It's live information, not a screenshot.
What happens when a customer files a BBB complaint?
BBB forwards the complaint to the business and requires a response within 14 days. No response damages the rating. Resolution and handling are documented on the profile permanently. All of this is publicly visible.
Is BBB accreditation the same as a government license?
No. BBB is a private nonprofit, not a government agency. Our state requirement is BHGS registration #A49573 under the California DCA. BBB Accreditation is an additional voluntary credential on top of that — they serve different purposes.
